ABOUT ME

Ever since I can remember, sport has been the language in which I understand the world. Whether it’s the rhythm of a cricket innings, the geometry of a squash rally, or the unpredictability of a football match, I’ve always been fascinated by the patterns that lie beneath performance. Whether I was on a squash court, cricket field, or table tennis table, I found myself constantly asking what separates the good from the great? Why does one player become world-class while another, equally talented, falls short? That question became the foundation of this blog. I wanted to create a space that goes beyond the final score or highlight reel, where I could combine analytics with insight to explain the “why” behind performance. I wanted a place where I could explain why certain teams win. Behind every champion is a team analysing every movement, every decision, and every datapoint using evidence based insight to turn potential into performance. That level of precision and collaboration is what fascinates me most about modern sport.
My curiosity also deepened through some of my hands-on work experiences. At Sports Mechanics, I learnt how analytics can transform coaching and athlete development and team performance at the national level. My time at Obsidian Sports Management, deepened my understanding of the business side of sports and player valuations. At St Paul’s School in London, I’m currently studying A-levels in Maths, Physics, Economics, and Italian, alongside an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in Sports and Psychology. This combination allows me to explore both sides of performance, the measurable and the mental. Physics and maths help me make sense of movement and probability; economics teaches strategy and decision-making under pressure; and psychology reveals how mindset shapes champions. Having competed across multiple sports myself, from cricket and squash to table tennis, I’ve seen firsthand how fine the margins are between success and failure. Playing has given me a deeper understanding of performance pressure, decision-making, and the psychology of winning.
This blog is where I merge my experiences as a player with my fascination for numbers and potential of human performance. I’m also currently working on a data-driven venture in football, which I hope to share here soon. At its core, this space is where I hope to answer a question that every athlete, coach, and fan wonders about - what truly makes a champion?
